They must somehow eliminate Boruto, as this matter reflects on Konoha’s honor. Especially since it involves the attempted murder of Uzumaki Kawaki.
The elders informed Shikamaru that all the Daimyo were angry. They have to worry about the next financial budget, the continued existence of their village is in danger.
Shikamaru told them he already knew that. The elders suggested that Shikamaru accept the title of Eighth Lord. They believed he was weakening their position and not just in the land of fire.
But the other villages were fine, Shikamaru assured them he would report back soon. Ino brings Shikamaru the data he requested and he thanks Ino for personally providing the data.
Ino was curious why Shikamaru wanted the mission log for so long. Shikamaru informed her that he was curious about something. It turns out the diary was just an excuse.
Shikamaru tells Ino that he doesn’t want to feel listened to. He also didn’t want Eida, Kawaki or Amado to know about it.
He asked Ino to keep their conversation a secret from everyone. Ino told him she couldn’t do that and said it completely depended on the content.
Unrecorded transmissions violate regulations. Shikamu tells her that Kanoha’s safety depends on it.
He asked Ino to do what he wanted her to do otherwise they couldn’t discuss it any further. Ino had no choice but to agree to his request. She asked him what he needed her to do.
Summarize
Kawaki learns from Eida that the Ten-Tails has developed awareness. Eida did not explain why or how they did so.
But she saw that they were evolving into a completely different being than usual. Kawaki was surprised because he thought Code was controlling them.
Eida informs him that Code ran off somewhere, and she mentions that they’re not in his alliance so it doesn’t even matter.
Eida explains that the most worrying thing is that they aren’t just after Otsutsuki like he and Boruto. She mentioned that, for some reason, they wanted to kill the seventh hokage, Uzumaki, Naruto, and her as well.
Kawaki wasn’t sure why they were after the Seventh Hokage, he couldn’t understand what those people wanted. Eida told him that she didn’t know the reason either.
Kawaki swore that he would eliminate them no matter what because the Seventh Hokage was under his care.
Daemon reminded Kawaki that Boruto and Sasuke were the only people besides them who knew the Hokage was alive.
Although no one believes those two people because they are considered criminals. He reminds Kawaki if those clawed monsters go there to find the Hokage.
Daemon believes that someone will find out that Kawaki has been lying all this time. Even though he didn’t care what happened to him, he still wanted to warn him early. Eida advised Daemon not to say such things to Kawaki.
