Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues the story of Kawaki Uzumaki, son of Naruto… wait. Sorry, that’s weird. Boruto: Two Blue Vortex continues the story of Boruto Uzumaki from the stopped part 1. Taking place 3 years later, Boruto is still on the run after everyone believed he killed Naruto thanks to Eida’s Omnipotent ability, which grants the user their deepest desire.
Chapter 1 opens with Sarada Sasuke still trying to convince Nara Shikamaru, the newly appointed Eighth Hokage, that Boruto didn’t kill the Seventh and that everyone was effectively brainwashed. Unfortunately, the only ones who still have their true memories are Sarada and Sumire Kakei. Meanwhile the others are living with “knowing” that Boruto, an outsider, killed Naruto and is now on the run. Why Sakada and Sumire were unaffected by Eida’s almighty power remains a mystery, which is also beyond Eida’s own ability.
Kawaki is working with the shinobi to help protect them from the Code and hunt down Boruto, whom he previously considered a brother. We also see Mitsuki, who is extremely protective of Kawaki. All shinobi are helping because they are constantly training and taking precautions against both. However, we also see Himawari, Naruto’s daughter, in training. It’s been suggested that she may also have memories of the real Boruto and how he fought to save his father and the others before, so it’s likely that the people closest to the two still exist. some memories before the Almighty.
Part of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 1, it was revealed that Code was attacking and leaving scars all over the area. While Kawaki can easily deal with these, they find that Code is also leaving these scars on humans. He can transport his warriors through these scars, as well as himself.
After being warned about unknown chakras, the shinobi gathered to fight the monsters Code had sent. Kawaki starts fighting some monsters, so does Sarada, and then Code reveals himself to her. He tells her that he’s tired of hunting Boruto with no results and Sarada responds that they haven’t seen or found him either.
Code isn’t here to find Boruto, he’s here to invite him out. He decides to change his tactics and instead of continuing to chase him, he will use his friends as bait because Code believes that Boruto still has feelings for his friends. Then, as if on command, Boruto lands on Code and the stage is set for a possible 3-way fight between Code and his monsters, Boruto (and possibly his friends). , as well as the shinobi.
Chapter 2 is scheduled to release on September 20, 2023 on Viz Media as well as MangaPlus. The anime is available on Crunchyroll.
