Eye technique, or Dojutsu, is a specific genetic trait that alters the eyes and is usually inherited in the bloodline of a shinobi clan. The Uchiha clan has the Sharingan, while the Hyuga clan has the Byakugan. The third type of Dojutsu, the Rinnegan, is much rarer and unrelated to a particular clan, but it is generally considered the most powerful. After receiving half of Hagoromo Otsutsuki’s chakra during his final battle with Kaguya, Sasuke awakened the Rinnegan in his left eye, which allows him to use all of the Six Paths’ techniques, plus a superhuman strength.
