There are a total of 206 filler episodes in Boruto: Naruto Next Generation, more than any other series. Studio Pierrot is famous for introducing side stories not found in the manga, as is the case with Black Clover and Naruto Shippuden. As mentioned earlier, supplements are used mainly to give the author some space and time to write more chapters. Studio Pierrot produces episodes all year round, so it makes sense that they keep updating the source material. When the source material is fully present as in the case of Bleach Thousand Year Blood War, there are no additional episodes and the manga is faithfully adapted.
Are there any Boruto Arcs worth watching?
Contrary to the popular narrative, Boruto has extras that are worth taking a chance on. Although most of the episodes are just filler, the series is one of the most successful anime and has generated a lot of money as well as spin-offs and games. The most obvious one is Mitsuki’s Disappearance Arc. Mitsuki has always been a fan favorite but has no backstory in the manga. This installment features one of the best battles in the series between Orochimaru and Log. Another arc worth checking out is the Time Slip arc, where Sasuke and Boruto go back in time and meet the young cast of Naruto and Jiraiya.
