The anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the title in English, while HIDIVE is streaming the anime. They describe the story:
Fascinated by the horror, Kyotaro fantasizes about acting on his twisted thoughts to the detriment of his classmates. His heart is dark until an encounter with Anna lights a spark in it in a classic boy meets girl story.
