At the venue, Hitori meets Yamada Ryou, the bass player. There, they give Hitori a new nickname, Boochi. With some practice, they were able to put on a pretty decent performance and Boochi was officially invited to join the band.

Ikuyo Kita ran away from home again, and the band now has to deal with it. They bring her back home, and it’s no surprise that Kita’s mother is very hostile towards them, especially towards Hitori. Kita’s mother seems to believe that it is Hitori who is making Kita act. Hitori was speechless and desperately tried to clarify things with Kita’s mother.
After talking with Kita’s mother for a long time, Hitori was able to clear up a lot of Kita’s mother’s misconceptions about her. Kita’s mother realized that the band wasn’t as bad as she thought it would be. Furthermore, Hitori suggested Kita’s mother come see their live performance so she could see how good her daughter was. Since Hitori is the one teaching Kita, it should be fine.
