The previously announced anime adaptation of the Blue Box manga revealed a new teaser trailer and an October premiere date at the Anime Japan 2024 event. Telecon Animation Film is animating the adaptation with Yuichiro Yano directing director. Yuko Kakihara is in charge of the series' layout while Miho Tanino is designing the characters.

Anime Blue Box revealed character images featuring Taiki and Chinatsu on March 17. Chiaki Kobayashi and Yuma Uchidsa will join the cast as Kyo Kasahara and Kengo Hanyu. The main cast includes:
- Shoya Chiba plays Taiki Inomata
- Reina Ueda as Chinatsu Kano
- Akari Kito as Hina Chono
The Blue Box anime was announced last November. The first trailer was shown during the Jump Festa '24 event. Akari Kito's role was also announced at the event – she took the stage with Chiba and Ueda.
Blue Box is based on the manga by Kouji Miura. The series began in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in April 2021. It was initially published as a one-shot in 2020, before beginning regular serialization. A total of 14 volumes have been published as of today. VIZ Media is publishing it in English and describes the plot as:Taiki admires Chinatsu from afar, but he suspects that she sees him the same way. However, somehow, he mustered up the courage to tell her to never give up on her dreams! After such a bold declaration, will Taiki's fleeting high school romance finally begin?
