Blockbusters are getting more and more expensive, proportional to the amount of money that developers have invested to produce them. A game like Black Myth: Wukong now costs up to millions – not very friendly and suitable for the finances of many gamers. Therefore, the upcoming free blockbusters are definitely something that countless gamers are waiting for.
Arknights: Endfield
Launched in 2019 on mobile devices, Arknights has now established itself as one of the most popular projects in its genre. It's even been popular enough to get its own anime adaptation. And the franchise looks set to continue expanding with a spin-off game set on a new planet, called Arknights: Endfield.
Arknights: Endfield looks to be quite different from the main game. Set after a major disaster, players will take on the role of PFRD agents tasked with taming an alien planet. The game will feature real-time strategy combat, although exact details on the system's mechanics have yet to be provided, and it's entirely possible that gacha mechanics will be present at launch.
Perfect New World
Perfect World is probably not unfamiliar to Vietnamese gamers, but Perfect New World is a completely different project. Also belonging to the MMORPG genre, the game's Closed Beta test was released in June 2023 but still has a long way to go after that to develop after feedback from users.
Playing as Soul Tamers, gamers will have to go through a journey to explore a very attractive fantasy world with many Dungeons, monsters and of course, NPCs. The game also features fast-paced PvP. Similar to other MMORPGs, gamers will be able to choose from many classes and also build their own character.
Arena Breakout: Infinite
Launched in beta in May 2024, Arena Breakout: Infinite has attracted the attention of gamers. Although it has many similarities with the blockbuster Escape from Tarkov, Arena Breakout: Infinite focuses more on the authenticity of battles, weapon customization and especially the diversity of guns.
The beta showed promise, especially in terms of visuals, the quality of player options, and the weapons. However, the game is still quite rough in some areas and doesn’t have many new ideas. But remember, the beta was created to see player feedback, and once it officially launches in the next few months, Arena Breakout: Infinite will likely improve on these points.
