The Bleach: Blu-Ray of The Thousand Years of Blood is now available in Japan, and many of the updates made to the animation for the home video release are now known, confirming that there are some persistent bugs (some minor error, another larger one) in the series occurred has been fixed.
Blu-Ray of the first 13 episodes of Thousand Years of Blood was released on April 26 in Japan. The Bleach home video release includes at least one new scene, but that’s not the only thing that has changed. Devoted fans have discovered several bugs that hindered the series’ continuity in the airing version of the episodes, and many of these scenes have now been tweaked to better fit the manga and remove these errors. Many smaller adjustments were also made, changing the lighting, colors or effects – too many to list in one place. However, these larger persistent errors are worth discussing.
Bleach’s Blu-Ray restores Komamura’s mask
Twitter user @_BHAUMIKTALWAR_ has compiled most of the major changes into one comprehensive theme. Among the smaller fixes include the removal of Yhwach’s mustache from flashbacks, giving him an appearance that better matches his appearance during these flashbacks in the manga. It helps to emphasize that Yhwach is much younger in these scenes, and reinforces the resemblance to “Old Man” Zangetsu, whom Ichigo learns is actually a manifestation of his Quincy powers. However, the biggest problem that needs to be overcome is in the flashback sequences of the meeting of the Captains of the 13 Court Guards; During these meetings, Bleach’s Captain Komamura is said to attend without a helmet — something he always wears to conceal his dog-like appearance until the Soul Society section at the beginning of the series. The scene has been changed so that Komamura is wearing his original helmet, as he should be.
While these are all fairly minor tweaks to the overall plan of things, their willingness to go back and fix scenes, even in such small cases, shows an attention to detail. part of the animation studio, as well as responding quickly to fan complaints. . The end result is Thousand Years of Blood that looks better than ever, and it’s already the best movie Bleach has ever seen. While an English Blu-Ray release has yet to be announced, it’s likely that these changes will be applied to that version as well.
Bleach: The Thousand Years’ Blood is coming back in July, but for now fans can enjoy updates to what’s already in place.
