Bleach: The Thousand Years of Blood War Part 2 reveals the release date along with loads of new information.
A recent report from Crunchyroll has provided Bleach fans with plenty of details about the upcoming second season of the latest anime, subtitled “The Separation”. This includes a confirmed release date of July 8, 2023. Additionally, here’s a brand new trailer for the upcoming episodes, a key visual showing Ichigo Kurosaki and Uryu Ishida, reveal the new voice actors and a short listen to the new opening theme song.
The trailer showcases the upcoming all-out war between the Soul Reaper and the Quincys, the dramatic conflict that sets the arc. It opens with the main antagonist Yhwach, the leader of the Quincy, appointing Uryu Ishida as his successor. After that, the rush of footage provides a solid look at the animation as well as the returning and debuting characters. It also previews the rock wod band’s new opening theme titled “STARS”.

Many voice actors have been confirmed to join the project. Aoi Yuki, known for her roles as Tsuyu Asui in My Hero Academia, Yuzuru in A Silent Voice and Natori in Your Name, will join the project as Liltotto Lamperd. Additionally, Tsuyoshi Koyama (Kamen Rider Ryuki, Octopath Traveler II, Sword Art Online) will voice Gerard Valkyrie, Soichiro Hoshi (Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, My Hero Academia, Baki) will voice Nianzol Weizol and Nao Toyama (Nisekoi) , Demon Slayer: Kimetsu) no Yaiba, Naruto: Shippuden) will take on the role of Giselle Gewelle. These characters are all members of the Quincy race and are part of Wandenreich’s Sternritter. They receive the designated title; In turn, “G” – “Gluttony”, “M” – “Miracle”, “W” – “Wind” and “Z” – “Zombie”.
The image above is a key image that places protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki on one side and Uryu on the other. The latter shocked fans during last season’s finale when seemingly betraying his friend and joining Quincy. This leaves Bleach fans with many questions that need answers in the upcoming season two.
Bleach: Thousand Years of Blood is an anime adaptation of the final arc of Tite Kubo’s legendary manga. It premiered in 2022, ten years after the anime’s final episode, to overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics. It is currently ranked at number two in My Anime List’s Best Anime of All Time ranking at the time of writing.
The series is available on Disney+ and Hulu and will be streamed in multiple languages.
