Netflix has released a new key visual for the upcoming final season of Beastars, revealing that Season 1 will be released sometime in December 2024. A Season 2 release date has yet to be revealed.
The image introduces the main character, Legoshi, being stalked by two mysterious creatures.

Shinichi Matsumi and Nanami Higuchi return from the first two seasons of the anime as director and writer, respectively. Orange returns to take charge of animation production for the final season.
Previous seasons of Beastars featured Nao Ootsu as character designer, Eiji Inomoto as CG director, Minami Kasuga as art director, Satoshi Hashimoto as color designer, and Satoru Kosaki as composer. Shiori Furusho and Chae Baek Ryun served as creative directors in Season 1, while Season 2 only had Chae in charge.
The first season of Beastars premiered in October 2019 in Japan and was released globally by Netflix in early 2020. Season 2 premiered in 2022, first airing in Japan from January to March 2022 before being released globally by Netflix in July of the same year. The final season was announced in September 2022.

The anime is based on the original manga by Paru Itagaki, which ran in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine from September 8, 2016 to October 8, 2020. A total of 22 tankōbon volumes have been released. VIZ Media releases the manga in English in North America.

In a world where all kinds of beasts coexist, a gentle wolf awakens to his own predatory urges when his school deals with a murder within its midst.
