In a recent update from Kodansha’s Kiss magazine, the October issue revealed some exciting news last Thursday: Battan’s “Annoying and Crafty Sisters” manga is getting an adaptation. into a live-action television drama adaptation.
The highly anticipated adaptation is slated to premiere on October 9. Coinciding with this announcement, the magazine also marked the end of the manga by publishing the final chapter on the same day.

To celebrate the upcoming live-action film adaptation, Battan created a special illustration that brings out the excitement.
Mark your calendars for October 9th when the live-action version of the manga premieres on TV Tokyo’s Drama Premium 23 program block at exactly 11:06pm. JST.
The journey of “Annoying and Crafty Sisters” began in August 2021, when Battan featured it in the pages of Kodansha’s Kiss magazine. Fans can expect the concluding episode, the fifth compilation, to hit shelves on October 13 thanks to the support of Kodansha.
The focus of the manga’s story is Jun and his younger brother Ran. Separated by Ritsu, Ran’s wife, who happened to be Jun’s mistress, the sisters find themselves reunited after 8 years apart, due to the death of their mother. A fascinating twist of fate brings them together, and in this common space, the intricate mechanics of love begin to stir.
Battan, known for his “Run Away With Me, Girl” (Kakeochi Girl) manga, previously began his creative journey in Kodansha’s now-defunct Hatsu Kiss digital manga magazine in October. 2018. The story ends in February 2020, with Kodansha releasing the third and final volume in December 2021.
English-speaking audiences also have the opportunity to delve deeper into this world when Kodansha USA Publishers releases the first volume in December 2022, followed by the third and final volume on May 2.
