The popular animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender has just released important news about the upcoming animated film, currently tentatively titled Aang: The Last Airbender, which has now confirmed a release date of October 10. October 2025.
Aang: The Last Airbender, the new animated film from Paramount and Nickelodeon, will mark the first of three standalone A:TLA animated films. According to a press release, Aang: The Last Airbender will be directed by Lauren Montgomery and William Mata, who wrote many episodes of the original television series. The initial voice cast has been confirmed to include Dave Bautista, Eric Nam, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten and Román Zaragoza, with Bautista playing an unnamed villain.

Avatar: The Last Airbender's Original Creators Return with the upcoming animated film
The news was revealed during Paramount's slate presentation at CinemaCon this year. Fans worried about the original creators' involvement in the Aang: The Last Airbender movie are in luck; Creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino have been confirmed as executive producers of the series alongside Eric Coleman and they are joined by fellow producers Latifa Ouaou and Maryann Garger.
