The official VR adaptation of Attack on Titan, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, has become extremely popular in the Meta Quest market and ranked #1 worldwide upon its release.
The Japanese Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable X account (formerly Twitter) revealed that the early access version of the game is currently ranked No. 1 on the Meta market worldwide, beating out titles like Blade & Sorcery: Nomad and Among Us VR. The announcement post reads: “Thanks to your enthusiastic support, 'Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable' has ranked No. 1 on the Meta Quest Store weekly bestseller list worldwide 🎉. Thank you very much ✨ The full version is scheduled to launch this winter!! Please continue to support us!” Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable is available on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro. Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable Receives Both Praise and Criticism
The highly anticipated game has suffered multiple delays. Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable was originally set for a summer 2023 release, then winter 2023, before finally being rescheduled for the second half of 2024. Keigo Fujikawa, CEO of the game's developer, UNIVRS, apologized on November 28, promising to “deliver the highest quality product to players around the world.” Initial reactions currently put the game at a reasonable price point at $4.99, praising the ODM's device mechanics and the game's accessibility even to non-fans of the series. However, the game's graphics and character designs have been criticized, with gameplay described as repetitive after a while.
New Attack on Titan Game Brings Back Anime Voice Actors in English and Japanese
However, a notable highlight for fans is the English and Japanese voice actors reprising their roles from the game. The last time many fans saw the cast together was the final episode, when Mikasa's voice actress Yui Ishikawa broke down in tears as she delivered her final lines to Eren. With the cast and staff in attendance, it was recently announced that the official livestream for the Attack on Titan 10th Anniversary Festival earlier this year will be released to the public for the first time on August 17, 2024.

Demand for the Attack on Titan series continues despite the anime ending last year. U-Treasure recently released a new line of high-end jewelry in collaboration with the anime, featuring designs inspired by Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Levi, and Jean. This is followed by KURAND's Attack on Titan liqueur collaboration, which was released this month. Fans can still stream the anime on Crunchyroll, which is produced by Wit Studio (seasons 1-3) and MAPPA from Season 4 onwards.
