Today, the Attack on Titan manga is celebrating its 15th anniversary with the announcement of a special edition of Attack on Titan magazine, which will be released on November 6. The magazine will be the same size as Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, where Attack on Titan appeared. Titan was originally serialized. It will include parts of the original 139 chapters selected by project participants. Hajime Isayama illustrated the cover.
Fans of the series can also vote in a new poll and answer which chapter of Attack on Titan they love the most. In addition, to celebrate the anniversary, Magazine Pocket will be offering all chapters of the manga for free for the next 24 hours. Hajime Isayama's manga was serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The manga ended in April 2021 and its chapters were collected into 34 volumes. The final, 34th volume, was released in June 2021. The Attack on Titan: FLY artbook was released last year in Japan and was recently licensed for English release by Kodansha US. The new project was revealed earlier this week.
The Attack on Titan anime also ended its 10-year run last fall with an 85-minute special. The manga was adapted into an anime by WIT Studio in 2013. Season 2 premiered in 2017, followed by a third season split into two parts. The first season aired in the summer of 2018, while the second season began in April 2019.
Studio MAPPA took over the franchise for the fourth season, titled Attack on Titan Final Season. It began airing in December 2020 and had a total of 16 episodes. After finishing airing in March 2021, Season 2 was announced. Attack on Titan Final Season 2 began in January 2022. It was followed by the Attack on Titan special The Final Season: The Final Chapters in March and November 2023, which fully adapted the main story.
The Attack on Titan: Last Attack compilation film was announced for August 2024.
