Last year, Attack on Titan fans in Japan saw Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert take the stage in a new vibrant adaptation of Hajime Isayama's iconic shounen manga. Now, the live-action stage show is heading to New York for its first North American performance.
Through Oricon, the producers of Attack on Titan: The Musical have announced that the musical will have its US premiere at New York City's Central Theater on October 11-13. This show uses high-tech stage effects, along with “analog stage techniques,” to bring the world of Attack on Titan to life in a whole new way. According to franchise creator Hajime Isayama, the film also presents a slightly different story than previous versions, saying, “The actors' actions and songs make this Attack on Titan a The new film is different from both the original work and the anime.” Crunchyroll, which airs the Attack on Titan anime series, is currently holding a ticket sale period scheduled to end on June 2.
