As previously stated, Diablo 4 will launch with updated versions, in seasonal development, with Season 1 already set to take place this July. This may be more fun news for many players, but at the same time, it also makes them feel a little nervous knowing that, to be able to experience this season version, all will have to starting with the brand new characters in Diablo 4.
Specifically, characters previously created and leveled up by the player, even the highest level, will not be able to participate in, access the seasonal content route. This does not mean that they will disappear forever, but are still there for players to freely develop. Blizzard itself has a point, saying that the seasonal content routes bring quests and challenges for all, even those of a much lower level. And when using those old characters, the challenge in new content will almost become meaningless. Therefore, in order to play according to the developments each season, gamers need to recreate the character from scratch. Otherwise, you can still fully experience Diablo 4 with your old characters.
On the plus side, this is a move for Blizzard to help keep Diablo 4 from feeling boring for anyone. Remember, the game has up to 5 character classes Barbarian, Rogue, Sorcerer, Necromancer and Druid. Where each class comes with play styles, powers, items, and quests to unlock different abilities. And if players stick around forever, locking themselves in a character system, they will definitely miss the experience and interesting challenges. You can bring a character like the Necromancer to level 100, but according to Blizzard, this does not mean that the game has been broken. And basically, Blizzard’s seasonal content line is nothing but bringing novelty and encouraging gamers to experience more of the unexplored.
Of course, the choice is still up to the gamers. And with the start of a new Season every 3 months, perhaps Blizzard will soon have to upgrade its number of character classes before gamers feel Diablo 4 becomes boring.
