The preview images and trailer of The Apothecary Diaries episode 24 titled “Jinshi and Maomao” are out now. The final episode will air on Saturday, March 24 at 24:55 JST, while the English subtitled version will launch an hour later. See preview images below:
When Lakan lost a game of chess to Maomao, he had to fulfill his promise to redeem a prostitute from House Verdigris. Just as he was about to choose from a row of beautiful women, he heard the familiar sound of a lullaby. Meanwhile, Maomao is called to Jinshi's house and they talk about Lakan's troubles, his obsession, and her complicated feelings towards her father. A few days later, he saw Maomao dancing beautifully by the castle wall. A preview video for the final season of The Apothecary Diaries, episode 24, was also posted:

Apothecary's Diary is a Japanese light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino. Shunfunotomo's Hero Bunko is currently publishing the light novel series, J-Novel Club is publishing the English digital version, and Square Enix is publishing the novels in print.
The series also has two manga adaptations: the manga of the same name by Itsuki Nanao, illustrated by Nekokurage in Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan; and “Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Maomao no Kokyu Nazotoki Techo (Apothecary Diary: Manual for Solving the Mystery of Maomao's Cloister Palace)” by Minoji Kurata in Shogakukan's monthly Gene-X Sunday.
TOHO Animation and OML are currently producing the animated series Apothecary's Diary, which is expected to have a total of 24 episodes. It is available on Netflix and Crunchyroll in select regions. Crunchyroll describes the plot:
Maomao lives a peaceful life with her medicine man father. Until one day, she was sold as a lowly servant to the emperor's palace. But she has no intention of living a life of royal compliance. So when the royal heirs fell ill, she decided to step in and find a cure! This catches the eye of Jinshi, a handsome palace official, who promotes her. Now, she's making a name for herself solving medical mysteries!
