A promotional video and key visual were released for the anime adaptation of Level 99 Villainess: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I’m Not the Demon Lord. A January 2024 release date was also revealed as well as details about the main cast and cast.
Minoru Yamaoka (Zo Zo Zo Zombie-kun, Wakako-zake) will direct the anime film at Jumondou with Fumihiko Shimo (Date A Live IV) is the series composer and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s sailor uniform) is the composer. Hitomi Kaiho (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Ep 1 and 2 co-animator) and Lo Ho Kim (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer Ep 1 co-animator) are the character designers.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Fairouz Ai as Yumiella Dolkness, Yuuma Uchida as Patrick Ashbatten, Azumi Waki as Alicia Ehnleit, Taku Yashiro as Edwin Valschein, Haruki Ishiya as William Ares and Kouhei Amasaki as Oswald Grimsarde.
