Kadokawa revealed a new promotional video for the second season of the television anime Banished From The Heroes’Party (Shin no Nakama janai to Yūsha no Party o Oidasareta node, Henkyō de Slow Life Suru Koto ni Shimashita) by Zappon and Yasumo miniseries lecture on Sunday. The video revealed the anime’s cast and premiere date of January 2024. The title of the second season is Shin no Nakama janai to Yūsha no Party o Oidasareta node, Henkyō de Slow Life Suru Koto ni Shimashita 2nd.

First season director Makoto Hoshino is now the main director, with director’s credit now going to Satoshi Takafuji, who wrote and directed the ninth episode of the first season. Studio Flad is currently only credited as producing the anime (the first season was a collaboration between Studio Flad and Wolfsbane). Yukiko Ashino is also now credited for her role in art design alongside former employee Tsukasa Ohira, while also serving as art director again. Norimasa Teramoto will replace Kenji Takehara as director of photography. Takatoshi Hamano will replace Nobuyuki Abe as sound director. Magic Capsule is replacing On-Lead in audio production. The remaining key employees are returning.

Funimation aired the first season when it aired in Japan in the fall of 2021. (The show’s staff delayed the anime from July to October of that year due to “various circumstances.”) The first season aired on Crunchyroll.
Makoto Hoshino (DamePri Anime Caravan, KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will) directed the first season at Wolfsbane and Studio Flad. Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, KING’S RAID: Successors of the Will) is responsible for writing the series’ script. Ruriko Watanabe (KutsuDaru., DamePri Anime Caravan) designed the characters.
Yen Press is publishing the light novel in English and describes the story:
Red was once a member of the Heroes, a powerful group whose mission was to save the world from evil forces. The evil forces of Taraxon, the Demon Lord of Fury. Zappon began serializing the story on the website “Shōsetsuka ni Nārō” in October 2017, where it is still ongoing. Kadokawa began publishing the story in print with illustrations by Yasumo in June 2018. Masahiro Ikeno launched a manga adaptation of the novel in Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in May 2018 This franchise has more than 2.2 million copies in circulation, including digital copies.
