Toho Animation once again updates the anime website The Apothecary Diariesit was revealed that the series will air on October 21!
Toho Animation also revealed that the anime will be airing for 2 seasons, meaning it will air for two quarters each year so we can expect around 20+ episodes for the series. The website has also released a new image of Maomao and Jinshi. So far the anime has not revealed the remaining cast, only Aoi Yuki will voice Maomao, with Takeo Otsuka as Jinshi.

The light novel series written by Hyūga and illustrated by Touko Shino was serialized online in 2011 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. In the following year, it was acquired by Shufunotomo, who initially published the series as a novel with a single volume in 2012, and then as a light novel series in 2014. The series also received Adapted from the manga illustrated by Itsuki Nanao.
The story of The Apothecary Diaries follows Maomao, a young girl trained in the art of herbal healing, forced to serve as a lowly inner servant. Palace. Although she longs for a life outside of the fragrant rooms, she does not long for a hard life! Using her wits to break the “curse” that befalls the royal heirs, Maomao attracts the attention of the handsome eunuch Jinshi and is promoted to food waiter. But Jinshi has other plans for the former apothecary, and soon Maomao will be back to work on potion making and… solving mysteries?!
