The production team of the TV Anime Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (The Rising of The Shield Hero) has revealed a new trailer and first main image for the upcoming Third Season of the Anime. The trailer announces the October 2023 launch.
Hitoshi Haga who wrote the scripts for the 5 episodes and directed the 4 episodes of the First Season will be the new director for the Third Season. Keigo Koyanagi continues to write and supervise the series’ scripts. Kevin Penkin continues to produce music and Kinema Citrus continues to produce animation.
Franziska van Wulfen and Sana Komatsu joined Masahiro Suwa in designing the characters, and previous series chief animation director Kōta Sera is now credited for collaborating on the design.
Season 2 of the Anime was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2021 but was delayed and has already premiered on April 6, 2022.
The first season of the Anime premiered with a two-hour special in January 2019.
The story is described:
Iwatani Naofumi was summoned into a parallel world along with 3 other males. Each of them is equipped with 4 Mystic Weapons when summoned, Naofumi receives the Mystic Shield. Unfortunately, in this world, worshiping the Three Great Saints (slashing) including Spear, Bow, Sword and of course Shield is said to be a cult. The newly summoned Naofumi will have to face the betrayal, brutality, trampling, etc. of the so-called humans here. Will Naofumi accept a life that is not as good as that person or will she get up and break through to kill them?
