The first key visual for White Fox’s Sengoku Youko anime was released today. The anime will premiere on January 10, 2024.
The previously announced opening and ending theme songs are “Hibana” by MindaRyn and “Yuuyami” by KEIKO. Below are the previously released trailers and new Sengoku Youko anime images:
This is the first major image of the series and features siblings Jinka and Tama, voiced by Soma Saito and Yuki Takada, respectively. Anime Corner’s Jay had the chance to watch Sengoku Youko’s early premiere at Anime NYC and described the series as “ethereal,” praising its “wonderful fusion of folklore and modern animation techniques.” ”. The anime will last three episodes (~36 episodes) and Jay shares that thanks in part to Crunchyroll’s partnership, the series will have enough episodes to do justice to the source material.

Tokyopop licensed the manga, the first episode is described: The world is divided into two factions: humans and monsters called katawara. Despite being a katawara, Tama loves humans and vows to protect them from evil, even if it means fighting her own kind. However, her stepbrother, Jinka, hates humans, even though most are the same. The brothers are joined by a cowardly swordsman named Shinsuke, who wants to learn how to become strong.
The people they meet, the places they see, and the creatures they fight will become legendary!
