Fantasy anime television series Sasaki and Peeps will return for a second season, with production confirmed for the show to first air in Japan on January 5, 2024. It airs total of 12 episodes and the last episode airs on March 22, 2024.
A short trailer was released shortly after the final episode of the anime, teasing more strange encounters that Sasaki and his pet bird Peeps will face.

Kadokawa also revealed a celebratory illustration from original light novel illustrator Kantoku, when announcing the anime's second season at the Anime Japan 2024 stage presentation.

Mirai Minato (When Will Ayumu Act?, The Dungeon of Black Company) directed the first season of Sasaki and Peeps, with Deko Akao (Komi Can't Communicate, When Will Ayumu Act?) as writer series writer and scenario writer, and Saori Nakashiki (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) as character designer. Silver Link handled the animation production for the series.

The anime adaptation is based on a web novel published in Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro on December 4, 2018. It was later republished as a light novel series by Media Factory on January 25, 2021 , with eight volumes released as of January 25, 2024. The series is also inspired by Pureji Osho's 2021 manga adaptation. Yen Press publishes light novels and manga in English in North America.

Sasaki is a middle-aged office worker living in Japan. Feeling exhausted by the boring corporate world, he goes to a pet store in search of a new companion. There, he found an adorable bird named Peeps and took it home. But Sasaki quickly learns that Peeps is no ordinary bird…he's a powerful magician from another world! Together, they embark on a magical adventure filled with swords and magic.
