HIDIVE revealed that OSHI NO KO Season 2 will be available on the streaming platform this summer (July 2024). They will exclusively broadcast the anime in the US and Canada, as well as overseas to the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. Studio Doga Kobo is back in action, and you can check out the teaser images for the new installment below.
HIDIVE also previously aired the first season of OSHI NO KO, which aired during the spring 2023 anime season. The anime is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki and Ciao Nekotomi, with script writing by Jin Tanaka, character designer Animated by Kanna Hirayama and animated by Doga Kobo production studio. But on the night before she was born, Gorou was killed at the hands of Ai's deluded stalker – and was then reincarnated as Ai's child, Aquamarine Hoshino! The glitz and glamor of showbiz hides the darker side of the entertainment industry. Can he help his new mother rise to the top of the rankings?
Manga OSHI NO KO is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It debuted in April 2020 and was published by Shueisha in the seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump. The series currently has 13 volumes with more than 15 million copies in circulation. The English version is published by Yen Press.
Anime swept our seasonal rankings that season, with OSHI NO KO being the season's main Anime award. Aqua and voice actor Takeo Otsuka won the Best Male Character and Best Male Seiyuu titles while Kana Arima topped the Best Female Character rankings (Akane and Ruby were in 2nd place). and 3). Rie Takahashi, who voices Ai Hoshino, won the title of Best Female Seiyuu. The anime's opening and ending theme songs also ranked first in their respective categories.
