The team behind the poker-themed anime, High Card, has revealed the second key visual and additional cast for the upcoming second season.
FIVE NEW OLD will once again perform the opening theme song for the new season. Slated to premiere in January, the second season will feature returning cast and staff.

The original work is credited to TMS publisher Homura Kawamoto (known for the Kakegurui series) and his younger brother Hikaru Muno (Kakegurui novels), with Ebimo serving as the original character designer.
The newly announced cast members are:
Miyuki Sawashiro as Burst, a player of the Klondike family Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Zenon, an executive of the Klondike family
Directed by Junichi Wada at Studio Hibari, the series will have Naoki Kuroyanagi supervising the script, while Kenichi Yamashita, Kazuhiko Inukai and Shingo Nagai are involved in writing the script. Nozomi Kawano is responsible for the character designs, with TMS Entertainment producing the anime.

The story follows Finn, a young man trying to save his orphanage by venturing into a casino, only to be drawn into a world where 52 X-Playing cards grant superhuman powers.
High Card, a secret group tasked with collecting these cards, recruits Finn to join their dangerous mission.
The High Card project expands beyond the anime, with a stage play titled HIGH CARD the STAGE – CRACK A HAND scheduled for January 19-29, Tokyo.

The multimedia project also includes a drama CD set for release in December 2022, manga on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service and novels are serialized in the monthly Newtype magazine. The anime’s first season premiered on January 9.
