The fourth season of Dr. Stone, titled Dr. Stone: Science Future, has been published. This will be the final season of the anime.
This news comes after the end of the second season of the latest series, Dr. Stone: New World.

Dr. Stone is based on a manga written by publisher Shueisha Riichirou Inagaki and drawn by Boichi, ran from 2017 to 2022 in Weekly Shonen Jump and has 26 tankoubon volumes. Viz Media describes the plot as follows:
One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high school student Taiju wakes up and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he is not alone! His science-loving friend Senku has been active for several months, and he has a big plan in mind—launching civilization with the power of science!
The first season of the anime debuted in 2019. Dr. Stone: The first season of New World premieres in April 2023 while the second season begins in October. Crunchyroll, Bilibili and iQIYI streamed New World overseas.
For New World, the staff includes: Shuuhei Matsushita is the director, Yuuichirou Kido is the series composer and screenwriter, Mayuko Iwasa as a character designer, Hiroyuki Horiuchi as the main animator and Tatsuya Katou, Hiroaki Tsutsumiand YUKI KANESAKA as a composer. Shinya Iino directed the first two seasons. TMS Entertainment is an animation production company.
