Dandadan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ service since April 2021, with the chapters collected into 11 tankobon volumes as of August 2023.
MAL describes the manga’s plot as:
After being fiercely rejected, Momo Ayase finds herself sulking when she comes across a boy who is being bullied. Saved by her rash kindness, the occult-obsessed boy tries to talk to her about the supernatural interests he believes they share. Denying his claims, Ayase declares that she is instead someone who believes in ghosts, starting an argument between the two over what is real.
To determine who is right, the two decide to separately visit locations associated with both the paranormal and the supernatural—Ayase visits the paranormal and the boy the latter. When the two arrive at their respective places, it turns out that neither is wrong and that both paranormal and ghostly things exist.
This marks the beginning of the adventures of Ayase and the boy, as they try to overcome the surreal, supernatural, mystical elements surrounding them so that they can return to normal life.
