On Friday, March 8, 2024, the official website for the Bartender Glass of God anime series revealed a second promotional video, cementing its April 2024 Japanese television premiere. With this announcement, the website also revealed the opening and ending theme songs, along with new images of the main cast.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Crunchyroll will stream the Bartender Glass of God anime series in various regions, spanning across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, Middle East and CIS. Notably, the series follows a previous 11-episode anime television adaptation from October 2006, although it differs from its predecessor in several other aspects.

Both the 2006 version and the upcoming 2024 Bartender Glass of God anime series are television adaptations of the Bartender manga by Araki Joh and Kenji Nagatomo. Initially serialized in Shueisha’s Super Jump magazine in 2004, the manga continued until 2011 before ending in Grand Jump magazine later that year.
Anime Bartender Glass of God premieres on April 3, 2024
Confirming previous reports, the Bartender Glass of God anime series will premiere on Japanese television on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Crunchyroll will handle global streaming rights outside of Asia, with The specific area has not yet been confirmed.
The cast includes Takuma Terashima as Ryu Sasakura, Yoshino Nanjo as Miwa Kurushima, Haruka Shiraishi as Yukari Higuchi, Eriko Matsui as Kyoko Kawakami, Ryoko Shiraishi as Yuri Kinjo, Makoto Furukawa as Kelvin Chen, Naoya Uchida as g as Ryuchi Kuzuhara, Hiroki Tochi as Kitakata, and Mugihito as Taizo Kurushima.
Directed by Ryoichi Kuraya at Liber studio, the anime adaptation has Mariko Kunisawa as script supervisor and Yoichi Ueda as character designer and animation director. SUNTORY is co-producing and further staff announcements are expected closer to the release date.
The 2006 anime was directed by Masaki Watanabe at Palm Studio, with Yasuhiro Imagawa handling the script and series composition. Character designs are by Hirotaka Kinoshita, art direction by Shigemi Ikeda and music composition by Kaoruko Ohtake. Scream! Factory and Anime Limited released the first anime on Blu-ray in January 2021.
Besides the anime adaptation, Nagatomo and Joh’s original manga also inspired a live-action television series that aired in Japan in January 2011, spanning eight episodes and one season.
