During the latest launch of the action role-playing game Stellar Blade, Mr. Kim Hyung Tae – director in charge of the game, revealed many important information about the project. Mr. Kim said Stellar Blade was inspired by Nier: Automata, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Bayonetta. In addition to these games, the developer also revealed that it learned a lot from the post-apocalyptic comic series Battle Angel Alita and science fiction movies like Blade Runner.
Giving special admiration to PlatinumGames’ Nier: Automata, Kim Hyung Tae shared: “For me, it was a great enlightenment. Immediately after completing Nier: Automata, I set myself a goal . That means having to make a similar game yourself.”
“The world of Stellar Blade is designed with a mixture of Hong Kong, Japanese, Chinese and Korean cultures. I have enjoyed many different cultures in my life and I am definitely influenced by the works science fiction from the 80s and 90s as well as other fantasy worlds.”
It is known that Stellar Blade is a role-playing, action, open world game produced by Korea. The main character in the game is Eve, she will participate in a journey of discovery, decoding mysteries and finding lost memories. Stellar Blade was first released in 2020. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the game was delayed for many years. Currently, Stellar Blade has completed the production process and is ready to launch on the PlayStation platform this coming April.
