During the final battle, All Might deployed himself with a set of power armor, which indicates it was equipped with the abilities of many Class 1-A students. He used technological simulations of Dark Shadow, Sugar Man, and Cellophane, among other things, proving that he was learning from his students as much as they were learning from him. All Might’s Weird Battle Draws From Midoriya’s Tactics
Going back to the beginning of the series, during the Battle Trial that saw students battling each other as heroes or villains, Deku had only just received One for All and still hasn’t. can control it well. When faced with an angry Bakugo playing the villain, Deku realizes that he cannot risk using his Quirk, as his lack of control could lead to Bakugo’s death. Deku was forced to fight as if he was incompetent, something Bakugo didn’t expect. Deku was able to lunge at Bakugo, grab him and do a somersault, leaving the feisty boy lying on his back wondering what just happened. All Might is watching as the instructor and seems to have recalled this tactic.
As All Might himself said, he can’t rely too much on these mechanical supplements, the same way Deku couldn’t rely on One for All at that stage. It’s simply too risky to use too many boosters, as All Might has witnessed firsthand. Much like how Deku lured Bakugo closer, All Might drew All for One towards him in a similar way. He was angering his opponent and throwing him off balance, while their personal grudge clouded his mind, hoping to lure him into a stupid mistake. While All for One hasn’t made a mistake yet, he’s definitely frustrated, and All Might just has to stick around until All for One just sees red.
All Might’s Quirkless Combat Strategy is certainly an interesting one, and it just goes to show that teachers can learn from their students as well as vice versa. With his power armor and Deku’s strategy, All Might really has a chance against the strongest Quirk user in the world. My Hero Academyhistory of.
