Famous for its extremely rich vegetation and biodiversity, the Daintree Rainforest is home to many wild creatures, meaning the film crew worked for days on “questions”. of many strange (and dangerous) creatures. Biological and zoological experts went directly to the filming set to ensure that filming did not affect the environment of the forest, protecting the habitat for both creatures as well as the safety of the filming crew. .

In the last part of the previous movie – as the audience knows, the MONARCH organization discovered the Hollow Earth and successfully brought people to this world. In the new part, audiences will visit MONARCH's headquarters in Hollow Earth, run by a team of famous scientists.
The famous work of architect Charles Wright – Stamp House was chosen as the setting for MONARCH's headquarters. Stamp House is located at Cape Tribulation, right in the heart of the rainforest.

With a strong structure, surrounded by lakes and trees, this is truly a wonderful scene, exactly what director Adam Wingard and the audience imagined about the MONARCH headquarters in Hollow Earth – if real. This is also the first time Stamp House appears in a movie.
A mobile studio with a crew traveling around the world
In the new film, the crew and cast of Godzilla x Kong: New Empire traveled to many countries, including Australia, Brazil, Gibraltar, Iceland, Italy, Morocco and even the United States. To do this, the film crew had to overcome the challenge of transporting a huge amount of machinery and personnel across many countries, into the harshest and most dangerous contexts.
And so, a mobile studio was created. To film in the ancient and beautiful Daintree Rainforest in the far north of Queensland, Australia, all equipment was transported here by 55 trucks on an arduous three-day journey over 2,000 km.

Talking about the decision to go to Daintree to record, producer Eric McLeod said: “I could have set up a forest, but putting the actors in a forest to record would help the actors be able to play their roles well.” better as well as making a better quality movie. Even in scenes created entirely with CG, we wanted to incorporate realistic elements into them. For example, the scene where Kong runs through the jungle and crashes into a tree. If we film in the forest and then incorporate Kong into it, the scene will certainly look much more vivid and realistic than using a forest created by CG.”

Even after being transferred to the studio to work, the process of recreating the scene and producing the film also requires a huge amount of manpower. 200 artists worked continuously for 3 months to scan the most realistic 3D image models from filming locations. Production designer Tom Hammock created an authentic “rainforest” of more than 1,000 plants across 40,000 square feet for the required indoor sequences.

And in order for the film crew's efforts to be fully and proudly shown on screen, cinematographer Ben Seresin even developed a separate set of lenses to record the film, to help combine between the real world and CGI becomes more complete. Audiences will be immersed in a very realistic and sophisticated world when enjoying Godzilla x Kong: New Empire on the big screen.
