Warner Bros. Discovery describes the synopsis for Uzumaki as:
“Let’s leave this town together,” asks Shuichi Saito, a former classmate of Kirie Goshima, a high school girl born and raised in Kurouzu-cho. Everything from the strange whirlwind, the billowing smoke from the crematorium, and the residents all turn into spirals. People’s eyes spin, tongues spiral, and bodies twist unnaturally. In an effort to escape the curse of the spirals, Kirie decides to flee Kurouzu-cho, but will she be able to escape this chaos?
