October every year is considered the month of horror games when Halloween is approaching.
Thanks to that, many publishers have chosen this as the time to launch famous horror blockbusters. And one of the projects receiving the most attention is A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead – an upcoming game with features that many gamers are curious about.
Inspired by the horror series Quiet Place that started in 2018, where humans are trying to find a way to survive after being invaded by alien monsters. According to the original movie, these monsters are very agile and dangerous and although they cannot see or smell, they can rely on sound to hunt. That is the main reason why the characters in the movie always try to keep quiet. And in this new game too, gamers should also “keep their mouths shut” as much as possible, literally.
Accordingly, A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will have a mechanism to activate the player's microphone, thereby allowing alien creatures in the game to detect every sound the player makes in real life.
From screams to even normal sounds like phone rings and sneezes in real life can easily attract the attention of monsters in the game and bring extreme danger to players. This feature seems strange but is bringing unexpected results when many gamers admit they feel attracted to this new and strange feature.
A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead will be released on October 17 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC platforms. True to its name, this seems to be a horror game only for those who are good at keeping quiet.
