Luffy needs Gear 4 to destroy Cracker’s soldiers; Van Augur did it in seconds
One Piece is composed by Eiichiro Oda, the anime is produced by Toei Animation
Cracker is one of the Big Mom Pirates’ strongest warriors and a member of the family’s Three Sweet Commanders, a title also held by Katakuri. During the Whole Cake Island arc, he attacked Luffy and Nami after they were trapped in the island’s Charming Forest. He fought against Luffy for 11 hours and can create countless cookie soldiers that require a Gear 4 power level to crush. Van Augur destroyed these soldiers with a single shot in One Piece episode #1093. It is unknown whether the Augur uses attacks that utilize haki, but such an effect makes that theory likely.
Van Augur had previously achieved incredible marksmanship feats such as sniping seagulls from an island so far away that it was out of sight.
Like many pirates in the Blackbeard Pirates, Van Augur’s full abilities remain untested. However, whenever he is in a scene, the anime gives him more to do and making the character seem like the best marksman in the One Piece world. His already supernatural marksmanship skills are even more impressive when combined with his Warp-Fruit teleportation abilities. It would take someone with incredible Observation Haki skills to stand a chance against a sniper as capable as Van Augur.
