A new Elden Ring manga is in the works, this time aiming to be funny by focusing on the game's memorable NPCs. Back in late 2022, Elden Ring got its own manga adaptation and now, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have announced a new manga titled Elden Ring Distant Stories from The Lands Between.
In contrast to the serious tone of the video game, the manga will take a comedic approach, highlighting the game's diverse NPCs. The first part will explore the story of Roderika, a character players meet at the beginning of the game.
Haruichi, best known for his work on Star Wars: Visions and Leia Organa: Ordeal of the Princess, both wrote and illustrated the new manga. The previous manga adaptation, Elden Ring: The Road to the Erdtree, was directed by Nikiichi Tobita (A Cursed Sword's Daily Life) and hit shelves in September 2022.
Haruichi's work is expected to launch soon on Kadokawa's Comic Hu manga website, although there's no news yet on an English version.
While the Elden Ring community eagerly awaits the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC next Friday, it seems many players have yet to defeat the required boss, based on Steam's achievement statistics.
Don't worry, though—there's still time to prepare! Whether you choose to deal with it now or later is entirely up to you.
