A Condition Called Love anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Megumi Morino. The story began serialization in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine in December 2017. Kodansha publishes the series in English, both digitally and in print, and describes the story as follows:
Hotaru is a 16-year-old first-year high school student who has always been conflicted about love, preferring instead to have an exciting life with her family and friends. So when she sees her school friend, Hananoi-kun, sitting in the snow after a messy, public breakup, she thinks nothing of offering to share her umbrella. But when he asks her out in the middle of class the next day, she can’t help but feel that her life is about to change in a big way…
