Remaster slated to launch this year for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam

The official website for Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, the HD remake of Konami’s classic role-playing game Suikoden and Suikoden II, announced on Tuesday that the release has been delayed. to an undetermined date and will no longer launch this year as originally planned. Konami stated the need to “ensure the quality performance and gaming experience our users deserve”.
The HD remaster will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.
Konami describes the first Suikoden game:

The remastered release will include new environment textures, new HD character illustrations, updated effects, brand new environment sounds, remastered battle sound effects, auto feature save, fast-forward option for battles and conversation log.
Konami released the original game for the PlayStation in 1995, followed by a follow-up game in 1998. The series featured five main and five spin-off games.
