The latest season of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man — Chapter 136, “A Normal Life” — opens with Denji wearing a Chainsaw Man t-shirt at his high school. This leads to a conflict when another student belittles him for supporting someone who is “stealing all the credit for Asa Mitaka’s achievements.” Shortly after, a Chainsaw Man supporter attacked the pair for disrespecting the character. Denji was later punished by the principal for taking the student to the hospital.
Then Yoshida appeared and invited Denji to the cinema. They sat and watched the screen as a squid demon lay dead in front of them. Yoshida commented on how quickly the Devil is being killed, meaning there’s no need for the Chainsaw Man to return. He then leaves, informing Denji that he has invited a girl who wants to date him. She appears and starts touching below his belt, ending the chapter with an over-excited Denji.
What happened in Chainsaw Man Part 2
Chainsaw Man Season 2, which includes “Academy Saga,” saw a major change to the series as it took Denji out of the Public Safety Board and into high school. It also introduces a new collection of characters, with the original characters, such as Makima, Power, and Aki, no longer available. The manga was well received, as was the animated film adaptation from Studio MAPPA. This anime recently received news about the upcoming season 2 and the movie combo. Many have speculated that the long-running project could adapt the “Reze” part, after the anime ends its first season.
The series is one of the most influential modern animemanga properties. Part of this stems from its association with the Jujutsu Kaisen and Hell’s Paradise titles as a member of the “Dark Trio”. JJK recently returned with Season 2 of the anime adaptation. Additionally, Hell’s Paradise ends its first season in the spring of 2023.
The next chapter of Chainsaw Man will be available on July 25 through Viz Media, Shōnen Jump, and the Manga Plus app. Additionally, the Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Hell’s Paradise anime can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
