Bleach: Blood of the Thousand Years returned to full intensity in the 16th episode, showing the massive clash between Quincy Wandenreich and the Soul Society’s 13 Court Guards. Episode 15 sees the real conflict begin, as the Captain goes up against Stern Ritter, with many of the matches resembling Quincy’s first appearance. How will these rematches play out for the Soul Reapers? Here’s how to watch the next episode and find out.
When is Bleach: The Thousand Years of Blood War released?
Hulu releases new episodes of Bleach: Blood of the Thousand Years at 10:30 AM ET on Saturdays. These releases are for the subtitled version and are designed to be as close to the episode release in Japan as possible. A dub version of Thousand Years of War season 2 is likely in the pipeline, but no information has been made public about Bleach’s English dub at this time. However, fans who were busy at the time of release need not worry as the episodes will still be available on Hulu for streaming.
What Happened In Bleach: A Thousand Years of Blood, Episode 15?
Episode 15 of the Thousand Years’ Blood War sees Quincy’s assault on the Soul Society really begin, as the Seireitei is suddenly replaced by Quincy’s base known as Silbern. The Stern Ritters are sent to fight against the Captains of Bleach, with those who stole their Bankai as a special target, for the sake of a show of strength. Hitsugaya’s battle with Bazz-B is at the heart of the episode, and Team 10’s Captain isn’t very successful, being knocked down by a two-finger firepower attack. The episode ends with a cryptic poem being read as Ichigo walks down a mysterious path in a scene not found in the manga.
Bleach: The Thousand Years’ Blood War Episode 16 Continued Invasion
However, there are more battles going on than that of Captain Hitsugaya, and the next episode will continue the ongoing confrontations between Sui Feng and Mayuri, as well as the confrontation between Captain Kyoraku and Haschwalth. Presumably, more Ichigo mystery tests will also be introduced, although it is impossible to say to what extent, since these scenes are original to the anime. Also appearing in the previews of the episode is another captain, Shinji Hirako, who is known to have an extended fight scene with his Bankai coming up. Although Shinji’s Bankai may or may not happen in episode 16, it will at least lay the groundwork for the fight.
The battle for the fate of the Soul Society, and possibly the world, is still ongoing, and will remain at the heart of the Millennium Blood War for much time to come. The wave of war is definitely not in the Soul Reaper’s favor at the moment, but that could all change in an instant with such massive battles underway. Fans are eager to see Bleach: Blood of the Thousand Years continue will only have to watch episode 16 on Saturday.
