One Piece delivered one of the best chapters of the Egghead arc with chapter 1119. The chapter showed the Gorosei dividing their forces and the aftermath of the battle against the Iron Giant, whose name was revealed to be Emeth.
After blowing Emeth into the sea, they turned their attention to destroying the Elbaf. Mars and Ju Peter then had a brief clash with Luffy's Gear 5, as well as Bonney, Sanji, and Franky.
At the end of the chapter, Warcury jumps into the sea to destroy the ship. However, before he can do so, Emeth punches him in the face. And it is this detail that happens to Warcury that helps bring back an old but plausible theory about the Five Elders.
Ever since the revelation of the monster forms of the 5 elders, a common belief among the fan community is that they are all users of the legendary Zoan Devil Fruit. Otherwise, such monstrous transformations would make no sense. At least, that's how it was at the time.
However, there have been several clues since then that suggest the Gorosei are not Devil Fruit users. Not only are their transformation forms rare and have strange powers, they also have an inexplicable magical summoning ritual.
Warcury jumping into the ocean without fear further adds to this One Piece theory. The ocean is the most dangerous place for all Devil Fruit users, as the fruit takes away the user's ability to swim and can weaken them to death with just a touch.
If Warcury doesn't fear the sea, that means he doesn't have the same weakness as other devil fruit users. So he and the other elders might not be devil fruit users. Their power might come from something else.
However, that's just speculation at this point. There could be something else behind Warcury's behavior. But until we learn more about their abilities, this One Piece fan theory seems the most plausible.
