Currently, the series airs on TVTokyo at 6:55 p.m. JST, which is 5:55 a.m. ET and 2:55 a.m. PT, which is an inconvenient time for Western audiences. Since they are broadcast in Japan, the episodes are also without subtitles, which means that some level of Japanese understanding is required to fully enjoy the series. It was previously announced that Pokémon Horizons will be released in the West at some point in 2023, however there is no word yet on the exact time.
What happened in Pokémon Horizons Episode 10?
Pokémon Horizons stars Riko and Roy visiting Brassius, the head of the Artazon gym, who is said to have seen the Black Rayquaza that Roy was after. There, they met Nemona, a rival character from the game, who introduced them to Brassius. However, Brassius had fallen into an artistic decline and was unable to participate in his gym duties. After collecting Sunflora to cheer him up, Brassius agrees to tell Roy about Rayquaza, as long as he can prove himself in battle. While Roy ultimately lost to Brassius, he impressed the gym chief enough that Brassius revealed the location where he saw Rayquaza, giving the team the next clue as to where to look.
Pokémon Horizons Episode 11 Into the Arboliva Forest
Brassius sees Rayquaza in a forest not far from town, so that will be the setting for most of the next episode, entitled “Arboliva’s Forest”. When they arrived, they found a vast forest that had been destroyed. An Arboliva, a Paldean Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, is seen lurking in the woods, also acting for unknown purposes. It is shown that Nemona will accompany Riko and Roy into the forest, and that she appears to have a role in the episode. The team also features Molly from the airship, though how she’s joining isn’t entirely clear in the preview.
Episode 11 looks like it will be a story that resembles the one-off adventure genre that Ash used to have, which could be a nice change of pace for the fledgling series. The story is still an element of the overall plot, as they’re on the trail of Black Rayquaza, but dealing with Arboliva is exactly the kind of standout for a particular Pokémon for which Ash’s era is known. . This will be Riko and Roy’s first encounter with a potentially dangerous wild Pokémon in Pokémon Horizonso the way they handled the situation is sure to make for an interesting comparison for longtime fans.
