Warning: Content revealed for Bleach: A Thousand Years of Blood & Not Afraid of My World.Bleach: The Thousand Years Blood Battle Season 2 has released a new trailer, and from that it can be seen that the anime is correcting the worst mistake of the manga. One of the biggest criticisms of the Bleach manga’s “Thousand Years of Blood War” part was the way it ended with many of the Shinigami’s Bankai never appearing. Ukitake died without ever revealing his characters, such as Shinji, Aizen, and Hisagi. Didn’t get enough engagement to use their Bankai, and Ichigo damaged his new Bankai twice without ever using the Bankai that is supposed to be Shinigami’s ultimate weapon, so Bleach ends up with a lot of things. Unknown is a major drawback of manga.
The lack of Bankai was a big problem in the “Blood of a Thousand Years” arc, but fortunately, the new trailer for Bleach: A Thousand Years of Blood Part 2 makes it clear that the anime will fix that. A scene in the trailer shows Shinji not only fighting more than in the manga, but unlike in the manga, he will be using his Bankai. This will mark the first obvious canonical appearance of Shinji’s Bankai, and if Shinji is going to use his Bankai, it means the other characters have a chance to use theirs as well.
Bleach: The Thousand Years’ Blood War Part 2 Reveal Shinji’s Bankai
One notable thing about Shinji’s use of his Bankai in Bleach: A Thousand Years’ Blood Battle Part 2 is that his Bankai was revealed in Can’t Fear Your Own World, a post-classic trilogy written by Mr. Ryogo Narita. Episode #3 reveals Shinji’s Bankai as Sakashima Yokoshima Happōfusagari, who indiscriminately reverses the mentality of people around them so that they see their allies as enemies and vice versa. The recent trailer features Shinji being completely alone and surrounded by Quincies, exactly the kind of situations where his Bankai works best, so Shinji’s Bankai will likely be something like in Can’t Fear Your Own World.
If Shinji’s Bankai in the anime is the same as in Can’t Fear Your Own World, then that could serve as a means to certainly make the novel the norm. Although Can’t Fear Your Own World continues Bleach’s story and greatly expands many of the legends, the canonical nature of the novels has long been debated because they were not written by Tite Kubo himself. Any additions Bleach: The Thousand Years of Blood War makes to the story are overseen by Kubo, however, so if Shinji’s Bankai is the same as it is in the novel, that should work in the end. put their classic problem to bed.
Bleach: The Thousand Years of Blood Battle Part 2 May Reveal New Bankais
Shinji finally used his Bankai in Bleach: A Thousand Years of Blood War Part 2 which is great to watch, and it begs the question of what other characters might be able to use their Bankai in the anime. For example, Ukitake has a lot to do with the overarching legend of the Soul King, so it makes sense for him to get an expanded role so his Bankai can be portrayed. However, someone like Hisagi wouldn’t make any sense since his not using Bankai was important for his growth, but since Aizen will be taking part in the final battle against Yhwach, it will is the perfect time to reveal what his Bankai is.
However, if anyone has a chance to show off their Bankai, it has to be Ichigo. The original manga was infamous as Yhwach destroyed Ichigo’s new Bankai twice before he could use it because the Almighty told him it was too dangerous to deal with, so the anime should show Ichigo actually fighting his Bankai, possibly through vision leading Yhwach to conclude it’s dangerous in the first place. Though whatever, Bleach: The Thousand Years Blood Battle Part 2 there are plenty of opportunities to show Bankai that was never used in the manga and taking advantage of that could ultimately help take the anime to the next level.
