The Spring 2024 anime season has begun with a wave of new series coming out and sequels returning. The Anime Trends community recently voted for their most anticipated titles of Spring 2024, and you can read the full results here.
Let's break down the top 10 voting results and discuss what new seasonal anime audiences can most look forward to.
KONOSUBA-God bless this wonderful world! S3
© 2024 N,K/K/K3P
Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Isekai
Number of episodes: 11
Studio: Driver
Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness round up the misfit group of adventurers, returning for another season of wacky hijinks and tasteless fantasy quests. A lot has happened in the past two seasons and I look forward to seeing Kazuma and Megumin's relationship develop further. Get ready to vote for them in the couples ranking.
Mushoku Tensei: Rebirth of Unemployment S2 Part II

Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Isekai
Episodes: 12
Studio: Studio Bind
Rudeus returned for another season and recovered from his “limp sausage” thanks to reuniting with Sylphiette. I have to catch up on the first leg of the second season so there's not much to say here. I'm looking forward to seeing more of Rudeus's school days where no major incidents will happen (hopefully).
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc

Genre: Action, Supernatural
Episodes: ?
Studio: ufotable
I have good news and bad news for you, Demon Slayer fans. The good news is that you will get another season of the hit series for this generation that has made its presence known everywhere. The bad news is that you have to wait until May 12 after two special roundups.
I guess the silver lining for die-hard fans and newcomers to the series is that they can relive what happened before through the recaps. It's clear that we're witnessing the slow milking towards the finale, folks.
At that time I was reincarnated as Slime S3

Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Comedy
Episodes: 24
Studio: Eight Bit
After slaying a Demon Lord and securing his place as a formidable force in the great Jura Forest, Rimuru Tempest has returned for another round of adventures. Besides fighting monsters and settling his grudge with Hinata, he also has to manage the day-to-day operations of running a monster city. Good luck, Rimuru. We can't wait to see what you can do.
Spice and Wolf: The seller meets the wise wolf
© 2024 IH, K/RTG
Genre: Adventure, Fantasy, Romance
Episodes: 25
Studio: Passione
If you're an anime fan of a certain age then don't read this: it's been 15 years since the Spice and Wolf anime last aired in 2009. I've heard some great things about the older series but haven't never had a chance to see it. From what I saw in the trailers, I like the refined, updated look of the series and can't wait to see how the story plays out.
KAIJU No. 8
© J3D © NM/S
Genre: Action, Fantasy, Science Fiction
Number of episodes: 12
Studio: Production IG
KAIJU issue 8 has to be one of the most heavily marketed anime titles I've seen this season (take note Disney and HIDIVE). In addition to having both English and Japanese Twitter accounts, the series will also receive opening and ending themes from rock band One Republic and British singer Yungblud. That's serious star power to begin and end with each new episode.
Despite skepticism about the original character design, the fan community seems to be excited about the upcoming adaptation. Only time will tell how much the series will resonate with the community at large.
Whisper me a love song
© Eku Takeshima,Ichijinsha/Whisper Me a Love Song Production committee
Genre: Romance, Girls'Love
Number of episodes: 12
Studio: Yokohama Animation Lab, CLOUD HEARTS
Our resident yuri expert on the Anime Trending team doesn't have high hopes for this adaptation, but I'm a bit more optimistic after watching the anime's PV trailer. I think I have a soft spot for love stories involving a lonely musician who finds love in unexpected places. I wish Yori the best in finding happiness with Himari throughout the series.
My Hero AcadeKaren S7
© KH/S, MHAP
Genre: Action, Adventure, Superhero
Episodes: ?
Studio: Bones
Join the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc during the holiday season that runs until May 12 as the seventh season of My Hero AcadeKaren. Manga readers will be excited to see this season unfold as the source material and anime adaptation move towards its finale. It'll be interesting to see how far the movie goes, as we have another movie scheduled to come out this summer and it's a mid-instalment.
A condition called love

Genre: Romance, Slice of Life
Number of episodes: 12
Studio: EAST FISH STUDIO
If you have or have been experiencing a condition called love handles, please consult your doctor about next steps to ensure you receive proper care.
But seriously, this is a cute series and is off to a great start. If you're experiencing any shojo withdrawal symptoms from the ending of A Sign of Affection, A Condition Called Love is more than a suitable alternative to get your romance anime fix. We've slowly started to see more shoujo anime adaptations come out in recent seasons, and I hope this trend continues.

Genre: Action, Harem, Romance
Number of episodes: 12
Studio: GEEKTOYS
Date a Live may be in its fifth and final season, and how has it evolved since its debut in 2013? The anime series has gone through three animation studios (two of which is currently inactive) while progressing to the final section. I think just the sheer popularity of the female characters, led by Kurumi, kept this series going strong until the end. I can't wait to see how the story ends (unless Kadokawa wants another season or a Kurumi spinoff).
