Attack on Titan is one of the most important franchises in both anime and manga. Written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, the series has been at its peak of success for fourteen years. After the manga ends in 2021 and the anime in 2023, Isayama prepares to release his new work.
The author recently announced a new spin-off manga series called Soyogi Fractal. This spin-off manga will feature Isayama collaborating with voice actor Yuki Kaji. Kaji also voices Attack on Titan protagonist Eren Yeager in the Japanese dub of the anime. So, fans are quite excited to see a collaboration between the two again.
The project was started by Kaji with the aim of creating a place where anyone, regardless of expertise or amateurism, can freely create what they find interesting with like-minded people without any What limitations?
Soyogi Fractal will be a one-shot, following the main character, Soyogi. It is a character created by Kaji, using AI to recreate Kaji's voice and will sing new songs.
Although Isayama will play a major role in the project, he will only be in charge of the one-shot's story and not the art. It is currently unclear who will take on the artistic responsibility of this project.
Soyogi Fractal is said to release in summer 2024, however no official date has been revealed yet. To promote the project, the creators uploaded a cover of the ending song Attack on Titan season 4 part 2 'Akuma no Ko', sung by Kaji's AI-generated voice.
Fans are looking forward to seeing what the Attack on Titan author will bring next with his new manga. The collaboration between Isayama and Kaji makes the one-shot project even more interesting for the fan community.
