Sasaki and Peeps announced the second season of the television anime with a trailer, as well as a celebratory illustration from the light novel illustrator. Studio SILVER LINK animated the first season, which ran for a total of 12 episodes from January 5 to March 22. Anime Sasaki and Peeps is based on the light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. You can see Kantoku's celebratory illustration below.
The light novel was first published as a web novel on the Kakuyomu and Shosetsuka ni Naro websites in December 2018, then serialized under Media Factory's MF Bunko J imprint in January 2018. 2021. There is also Pureji Osho's manga adaptation of Kadokawa Shoten's Shonen Ace Plus, which also begins in January 2021.
Yen Press has licensed both the manga and light novel Sasaki and Peeps in English, and they describe the story in the novel: SWORD AND MAGIC! SPIRITUAL BATTLE?! MAGIC GIRLS?!?! Tired and dissatisfied with his dead-end job, Sasaki decides to adopt Peeps, an adorable Java sparrow. However, Peeps is actually Piercarlo, a powerful sage from another world! After Peeps grants Sasaki magic and the ability to cross worlds, the two decide to export household goods for profit in order to pursue a leisurely lifestyle. But when Sasaki's new magic entangles him in an entirely different supernatural struggle in Japan, will it destroy his chance to live out the relaxing life of his dreams?
