The previously announced How to Become Ordinary (Shoshimin) anime has revealed a new trailer featuring the already announced cast. Studio Lapin Track (Undead Girl Murder Farce) is producing the animation for the series, which is scheduled to premiere in July 2024.

How to Become an Ordinary (Shoshimin) – New Anime Trailer
Mamoru Kanbe (The Promised Neverland) will direct the anime while Toshiya Ono (Shadows House) will write the series' script. Atsushi Saito (Love Live! Superstar!!) designed the characters and Takahiro Obata (The Promised Neverland) composed the music.
Hina Yomiya (Anna Yamada in The Dangers In My Heart) is joined by Yuki Osanai and Shuichiro Umeda (Akira Tendo in Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) voices Jogoro Kobato. Makoto Furukawa (Miyuki Hirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) plays Kengo Dojima.
How to Become Ordinary (Shoshimin) – Anime Visual
Shoshimin Series is a series of novels by Honobu Yonezawa (best known for Hyouka). It was originally launched by Tokyo Sogensha in December 2004, with four episodes released and a fifth scheduled for April 2024. The television anime will adapt the first two episodes: Strawberry Tart Box spring special and summer special tropical parfait box. The official website of the series describes the plot as follows:
“Let's help each other and work towards becoming perfect ordinary citizens.”
Kobato, who had a bitter experience through the reasoning activities known as “intellectual work,” was determined to become an honest and humble citizen. He secretly forms a reciprocal relationship with his classmate, Osanai, who shares the same aspirations, planning to debut in high school as ordinary citizens and live out their days in peace. However, for some reason, mysterious and unfortunate incidents keep happening in their school life. Can Kobato and Osanai have peaceful days like ordinary citizens?
