Aoi Makino’s Not Your Idol (Sayonara Miniskirt) manga will return to serialization in the May issue on April 3, the website for Shueisha’s Ribon magazine revealed on Friday.
The series went on hiatus in the magazine’s July 2019 issue. The manga also runs on Shonen Jump+ and Shueisha published the latest chapter in June 2019.
Viz Media publishes the series in English and describes the story:
A psychological suspense series about a girl who gave up her idol life after being assaulted by a fan. After an assault, Nina Kamiyama, a former Pure Club idol, eschewed her femininity and began dressing like a boy. In high school, she kept to herself but classmate Hikaru Horiuchi recognized who she was. What secret is she keeping? The shocking movie begins.
Makino launched the series on Ribon in August 2018. Shueisha published the second volume in March 2019. Viz published the second volume in English in September 2020. The manga was nominated for the 23rd volume Award annual Tezuka Osamu culture in 2019, and also topped the list of female readers for the work “Kono Manga ga Sugoi!” ranking in 2020.
