The manga adaptation is announced last November, with the OMORI X (formerly Twitter) account stating that it will be suitable for both existing fans of the game and newcomers. The official description of the game is:
Explore a strange world full of colorful friends and enemies. Navigate through the vibrant and mundane to discover a forgotten past. When the time comes, the path you choose will determine your fate… and perhaps the fate of others as well.
OMORI first launched on Steam in December 2020 and has since received a Steam release in Japan as well as ports to Nintendo Switch and PS4. The game RPGMaker was also available for Xbox One and Xbox X/S as part of the Game Pass subscription service, but was removed in June 2023. The game received a positive reception from both critics and players.
