Warning: Trigun Stampede Disclosure Trigun fans have sometimes suspected that Trample the triangle is heading towards a pivotal moment in the series’ saga, and now that dark time has hit the screens for the first time.
In the original 1998 anime and manga, the “July Incident” is an event only alluded to, where the Knives and Vash went head to head before the Trigun began leading to the destruction of the city. In the manga, that means everyone lives there, but in the anime, the city was destroyed while no one was harmed. Trigun Stampede arrived in JuLai (as it is spelled here) at the end of episode 9, and the city is still alive and well, confirming what many fans suspected – that its devastation will be the culmination of the season. movie. Sure enough, episode 11 started just like that, when a giant shape made of branches and roots was created and towered over the city.
Trigun Stampede’s July incident is terrible
In episode 11, Vash was captured and being experimented with by the Knives, who were attempting to use Vash’s abilities to open a portal to the realm from which the Trees derive their power. Only Trigun’s Vash is capable of doing this, although the reason why is unclear. To force Vash to obey, Knives attempted to take control of him directly, wiping important memories from his mind. Roots and branches sprouted from Vash’s back, like the blade of a Knife, and began to grow and writhe around the area, pinning Meryl to the ground. Outside of the Knife’s base, the branches and roots begin to take the form of a human—and it somewhat resembles Vash’s beloved mother figure, Rem. The roots and branches began to spin out of control, and the devastation of the city began.
Vash has no control over the roots, but it seems that Dao has no control over them either. They may be acting on Vash’s subconscious thoughts and impulses, attacking instinctively in response to attacks launched by the city’s army. In other Trigun media, Vash often loses his memory of these events, so exactly what happened has never been revealed before. Episode 11 and the season finale, episode 12, paint a horrifying picture of the incident. With season two of the series coming up, it looks like Vash will be where he starts in versions of the classic saga.
Trample the triangleTaking on the destruction of JuLai may have been expected by some fans, but few could have predicted that it would all go downhill like this.
